Oxford Space Systems (OSS), is a space technology business, pioneering the development of deployable antennae and boom arms for nanosatellites. These small, less complex satellites are low-cost and lightweight but must deliver consistently high levels of performance in the extreme operating conditions of space.
WAE’s core capabilities, especially in advanced lightweight materials, will support OSS with the design, analysis and prototype manufacturing of specialist composite materials. The OSS team will also have access to WAE’s line-up of lightweight structures specialists.
With a total investment of £2.1m into OSS, FWT will support the development and commercialisation of OSS’s lightweight antennae and boom arms, backed by the expertise of Foresight’s experienced investment team.
