Kognitiv Spark are a software company developing a hardware agnostic augmented reality (AR) system that has significant benefits over existing solutions including real-time sharing of 3D data sets, ultra-low bandwidth capabilities for remote location calls, and defence-grade security systems. This has the potential to offer significant cost savings and environmental benefits by enabling complex engineering discussions without the requirement for international travel, particularly for use in remote locations such as building sights and industrial rigs.
FWT lead the investment round with a £2.5 million injection into the company in March 2022. WAE is currently investigating the use of the technology within the business, having purchased its own licence and headset.
