Oxford university spin out Machine Discovery is a software company developing machine learning technology that aims to simplify, automate, and accelerate complex simulation tasks. The technology will enable customers to make discoveries that would previously be out of reach due to cost and speed limitations.
FWT invested £790K in this ambitious early stage start up in May 2021 to support its growth and commercialisation. Machine Discovery’s technology has clear links to WAE where simulating complex physical models (computational fluid dynamics and thermal analysis) is a key part of our offering. WAE is therefore ideally placed to support the company when looking to commercially validate its solutions and break into the market.
