FWT has invested a total of £2.2 Million into Living Optics, the first investment in February 2020. Living Optics was founded in late 2019 and is a spin out of the University of Oxford. The company are developing a fast, low cost and compact camera system based on breakthroughs in hardware design and software processing. The system enables capture of information that is invisible to the human eye and conventional cameras.
This could revolutionise the imaging market, extending the adoption of their technology into mainstream markets, such as consumer products, manufacturing and medical devices. WAE are supporting the company with design development, accelerating its product roadmap to market.
